Editorial standards

Public rules for inclusion, documentation depth, metrics display, and corrections. Complementary continuity tags live under the Doginal Historical Accuracy Protocol (DHAP).

Inclusion

Projects appear in the directory if they are Dogecoin inscription collections or related infrastructure with a verifiable public footprint (marketplace listing, primary social/announcement, or on-chain evidence) and at least one citable primary source.

Documentation tiers

  • Flagship — Meets all of: (1) documented large-scale mint or sustained market activity with citable sources; (2) multi-year or multi-milestone continuity; (3) unusually complete public documentation relative to peers; (4) editorial capacity to maintain a multi-page hub. As of August 2026, one project meets this bar: Doginal Dogs. Flagship is not a permanent exclusive brand slot; status is reviewed at least annually.
  • Notable — Documented collections with launch date, mint model, and at least one primary source; single-page entries.
  • Infrastructure — Tools, indexers, marketplaces, standards—not ranked against profile-picture collections.
  • Archival — Inactive, formally wound down, or thinly documented; may be noindex if below the quality floor.

Not a financial ranking

“Top projects,” Flagship placement, and Continuity Index tags describe documentation depth, historical salience, and observable operational continuity—not investment advice, floor-price forecasts, or “best NFT” scoring.

Metrics

Large quantitative claims (volume, rankings, celebrity lists) display only when status is verified with a cited source. Unverified claims are omitted from UI components. Prefer live marketplace UIs with an as-of date; distinguish DOGE-denominated totals from USD conversions.

Sources and tone

Prefer primary project pages, on-chain-verifiable records, and dated public announcements over paid wires. Comparative status claims require two independent sources or an explicit tier statement under these standards. Hype language and banned trading memes are filtered in content validation.

Corrections

Factual corrections are targeted within five business days of a valid report via the contact page. Status tags under DHAP are revised only on clear public evidence of change.
