Doge Labs
Early Doginals infrastructure (wallet, indexer, marketplace tooling). Public formal wind-down of active operations announced February 2026; assets remain accessible via key custody.
Last reviewed:
Doge Labs (also branded Very Doge Labs in community materials) was an infrastructure project from the early Doginals era. It did not invent L1 inscriptions, but it helped turn developer tooling into consumer-accessible wallets, guides, and markets.
DHAP status (as of August 2026): Formal Wind-Down — see the wiki archive entry.
Context
After apezord’s February 2023 open-source minter, most users still needed friendlier UX. Doge Labs published:
- Beginner explainers distinguishing Doginals media from DRC-20 tokens
- Browser wallet distribution (Chrome Web Store listings widely linked in guides)
- Marketplace surfaces historically associated with drc-20.org
- Explorer references (wonky-ord / dogeord.io stacks cited alongside their docs)
A November 2023 Reddit AMA framed the team as a primary infrastructure provider for Doginals during the first major wave.
February 2026 formal wind-down
In February 2026 Doge Labs issued a public announcement that it would wind down active operations covering the platform, indexer, and wallet services. A limited transition window kept front-end availability through early March 2026. Thereafter users were directed to manage assets via seed phrase or private key. Assets remained accessible through standard key custody. This removed a previously central piece of early Doginals infrastructure.
Relationship to collections
Doge Labs was tooling, not a 10k PFP competitor to Doginal Dogs. Collectors of many collections used its wallet/market stack interchangeably with venues like Doggy Market.
